This is the second episode of ‘UNFILTERED’ vodcast series in which two researchers are invited to discuss a current topic over a coffee (in my specific casa two chocolates and a dark coffee).

The 22 June marks 70 years since the arrival of the Empire Windrush at Tilbury docks. Fast forward to today, three generations later, the Windrush scandal is a stark reminder of this contested history of settlement, integration and exclusion throwing into question what Britishness really means.

I’m discussing “What does it mean to be British?”with PhD researcher April-Louise Pennant.
