Price-tag: Diary of an EU citizen in the UK (7)

The sooner this thing comes and goes the better. How much am I worth to the UK economy? Lesson learned from the referendum campaign: it is definitely uncomfortable the feeling of walking around with a price-tag on my neck. The tag is there for every eligible referendum voter and a few others (like Rupert Murdoch who is not even a voter but has a media empire that is very actively campaigning for Brexit) to ponder if I have earned my right to stay in the UK. What makes this line of thought even more uncomfortable is the small print on the label where it says: ‘by default you are a burden to ‘us’ and you may stay only if you buy yourself out in hard cash’.
